Home Learning Platform
We are very busy getting our new Home Learning Platform set up, in case families have to isolate or we have to close a year group bubble in school, and we now feel much better placed to be able to support our families.
If we have to start providing remote home learning, this will look very different to the support we delivered before the summer: of course, the wellbeing of our children and families will still be our ultimate priority, but it is a national expectation that children access the learning at home; we will continue to deliver our current school curriculum to you remotely. Children will have access to English and maths lessons every day, as well as some topic work each week, which will be delivered in most year groups via recorded lessons and shared activities on the Home Learning Platform. Reception children will continue to use Tapestry to access their learning. There will also be some opportunities for online class “meetings”, so that the children can see their peers and that we can keep in touch with you.
We are aware that there are some families who will struggle to do this with the technology they have available: we are still awaiting further details, but there will be support that we can access from the Government.
