Year 2 Fluency Games

Quickly recall all addition and subtraction root facts to 20

Recall all doubles of numbers to 10 and use this knowledge to help with subtraction

Bridge numbers, i.e. 8 + 4

Add 9, by adding 10 and subtracting 1

Recall all subtraction facts to 20

Recall and  use  multiplication  and   division  facts  for  the  2, 5  and  10   multiplication  tables

Year 3 Fluency Games

Quickly recall all addition and subtraction root facts to 20

Add numbers by bridging, i.e. 8 + 4

Add 9, adding 10 and subtracting 1.

Add 19, adding 20 and subtracting 1.

Subtract 1, 10 or 100 from numbers with up to 3 digits

Near doubles (e.g. 5 + 6 and 6 + 5) Apply to 2 digit numbers – e.g. 14 +15; 35 + 36 etc

Adding  19, 29… to 99  by adding  20, 30 …100 and adjusting  

Children to share strategies to add together two 2-digit numbers

Quickly recall all subtraction facts to 20

Count forwards and back in steps of 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 25, 50 and 100 and 1000 from any given number  

Recall and use multiplication and division facts for all multiplication tables
