About Our School

The school buildings are modern, spacious and on a single level, allowing excellent access for all pupils and adults.  We benefit from a range of facilities including a studio for music and drama activities, an extensive library, our family café, forest school area, daily mile track, therapeutic mentoring room and quiet reflection garden.  We are proud of our purpose built Foundation Stage Unit and Reception classes, with access to a secure and well equipped outside learning environment.

We have extensive grounds with hard surface areas, spacious playing fields, adventure play equipment, large sandpit, construction zone and a woodland area for Forest School activities and environmental work.

As a school, we celebrate the diversity of the wider community and are committed to the principles of inclusion and equality of opportunity.  We work closely with other Gloucester schools, through the Quedgeley Learning Community and the Gloucester Schools’ Partnership.

The teaching staff are approachable, considerate and experienced.  Adults work hard to create the best learning culture for everyone.  They all know that learning is life-long: we are on our way to becoming a research school. Teachers read education journals, books and keep up-to-date with recent and relevant publications.  We coach each other, work in teacher research teams and contribute to the development of pedagogy across the school. It is an exciting time to work at Beech Green.
